Why the human betrays itself?

Why does a man betray himself?

The man places his trust in things destined to fail him.

He knows this.

But he is afraid.

He would rather cling to the certainty of betrayal than the seeming uncertainty of Truth.

He chooses to trust the deceitful.

And so, he remains trapped in perpetual self-betrayal.
